DAY 14: München Stadtgrundungfest

IMG_8507

Today is my last day in Munich and quite honestly it is bittersweet. I really fell in love with Munich. It is such a beautiful and peaceful place and I want to come back here soon. I spent my time this morning cleaning up and preparing for the flight out to Amsterdam tomorrow. Later in the day, I really wanted to explore the city center once more, except this time would be different since it was the München Stadtgrundungfest: a celebration of the start of the city of Munich. Most of the travel was either done by foot or by the S Bahn. At the celebration, there was a multitude of people, food, sweets, shops, and entertainment which made my last day in Munich absolutely wonderful.

All of Southern Bavaria seems so serene and beautiful with its rich history, landscape, and architecture. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to experience Munich, Berlin, and the course itself. I now have memories that will last a lifetime and I hope to inspire others to travel and to open their eyes to the beauty in the world around us so that we can all try to instill some beauty in our own cities and homes.

Pictured above is myself, my friend Brianna, and two random fellows who were at the München Stadtgrundungfest.
