Today is Monday, Day 9. The day was much more of a serious day. My group and I traveled to the meet up site of Dachau using a variation of S Bahns and buses. When everyone arrived at the Dachau Concentration Camp, our professor begin the lecture and the history of the site and the more serious side of transportation: human transportation of prisoners via rails to and from the camps. This path to Dachau was known as the “Path of the Prisoners” and was one of the main propaganda sites. I think that this camp was a great choice to visit because the class learned more insight and history about the concentration camp, about the propaganda aspect of the camp, and its tragic transportation of innocent humans. I learned that although transportation often helps in many instances of history, transportation can also have negative effects.
