Oh, today was absolutely lovely. The class went on a bus tour to Salzburg, Austria and learned about modern construction techniques that were applied in Salzburg in terms of their transportation issues and their transportation systems. We used many forms of transportation today; the train to get to the meet up spot, the bus to go on the tour, a boat to get to the other side of the lake, and of course walking. Unfortunately, some of the people in class did not really enjoy the tour however I still enjoyed it but because of the gorgeous scenery and the views. We went and explored Salzburg, which is the home of Mozart. We got back onto the bus and headed to the Wolfgangsee lake. At the dock, the class split up: some stayed on the bus while others got onto a boat to transport them to St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut. This was such a cute little town that had beautiful views and a rich history. The town had a lot of tradition that was prevalent in all their shops, buildings, and homes. After spending some time exploring this town, we headed back to Munich. Today’s activities emphasized the affect the area has on the type of transportation that is most efficient and able to be used with a given terrain, community, and tradition.
